- Ocala: BJ's Gas opened October 8 at 6500 SW State Road 200. On October 21, 6:30am to 9pm, BJ's members get regular gas for $2 a gallon (30-gallon limit). The founding membership offer ($40/yr) is open through October 22 at BJs.com/Ocala.
- Ocala: BJ's Wholesale Club's first Ocala store, at 6110 SW State Road 200, is expected to open this fall. Groundbreaking was held in late May.
- Ocala: The free O-Line Trolley officially launched August 28, looping downtown Ocala Wednesday through Saturday, 11 to 3 and 5 to 9.
- Ocala: Downtown's new 800-space parking garage is open and free, two blocks from the Square.
- Ocala: Day one of the OBS October Yearling Sale brought in more than $3.5 million.
- Gainesville: Crunch Fitness announced October 5 that Crunch Gainesville North, a $5 million, 35,000-square-foot facility with the new Crunch 3.0 design, will open late 2026 at 2323 NW 13th St in Gainesville Plaza.
- Gainesville: Winn-Dixie opened its new Alachua store at 15560 NW US Highway 441 (the former Hitchcock's Markets), open 7 days a week, 7am to 10pm.
- Gainesville: The Alachua County Tax Collector will start offering self-serve vehicle registration renewal kiosks at two local Publix stores.
